What goes around comes around!

I’m sure that many of our readers have done the family thing. You know  what I mean: firstly, you are a child, happily living with your mummy and daddy, then adolescence and puberty interfere with the status quo and you become extremely interested in sex.

You’re single, fancy free, and play the field, then meet the love of your life, leave your mum and dad and get married or paired-up, leave your birth home and move out to your own house/flat/bedsit/cave.

You rear and raise your ensuing kids in an acceptable degree of health and hygiene and to a reasonable standard of education. Then, when they have sapped you of your vigor, they find their own relationships, couple-up and leave home, only returning for your home-cooked meals clutching steaming piles of their dirty washing.

Shortly after this they realise that their relationship isn’t working out, and when they are facing malnourishment in the face and run out of clean underpants, return gratefully to your still-warm welcoming nest.

And you, gushing love and gullibly, welcome them back with open arms.

Or is that just me?
