The facts and figures of retirement go on show

The Retirement Show, Britain’s largest exhibition for the active over-50s returns to Manchester, London and Glasgow in 2011. The Manchester show takes place at Manchester Central (the old G-Mex) on 11-12 March; the London show takes place at London Olympia on 15-16 July and the show in Scotland takes place at the Glasgow SECCon 11-12 November.
The show - sponsored by Prudential - features a huge variety of stands, including big-name exhibitors like BT, RIAS, SAGA, Age UK, Girlings, Warner Leisure Hotels, Women’s Weekly and Prudential. The shows in 2011 have an excit¬ing line-up of features, including the popular climbing wall; all-day dancing and activities - such as tai chi and yoga; a health zone with free health checks; ‘Places’ - a show-within-a-show focusing on holidays and travel; a live cookery demonstration theatre featuring exciting local chefs working with fresh local and far-flung ingredients; fabulous fashion shows with real people as models; and the performance stage showcasing choirs, interactive makeovers and maybe even exotic dancing!
The programme of features will vary from show to show, so do check on the event web site for updates.
There is enough to keep you busy for a full day at each show - you should plan to stay the whole day. Entry is £10 per person, but pre-registered visitors and visitors who register on the door can gain entrance for £5 each - which includes the £2 Show Guide Magazine and the visitor bag.
