Grade II listed, the castle has a long and endearing past, and is also home to many of the National Portrait Gallery’s Victorian paintings.

Many guests spend all their break exploring the extensive parkland surrounding the castle. You can take a woodland walk, a nature trail or visit the unique WWI practice trenches in the grounds

Great Orme Country Park and Llandudno Pier: take a tram ride through this wildlife paradise or get the best of the sea air – thirty minutes away.

Caernarfon Castle: One of Wales’ most dramatic sights and the setting of Prince Charles, Prince of Wales’ investiture – forty-five minutes away.

For the ultimate indulgence or special occasion, these are the very best rooms in the hotel and we have just 7 of these exclusive rooms, each of which are in the original castle building.
