Littlecote House, Historic Hotel
30/09/2006
“So many of our guests are regulars, visiting us several times a year. That says it all.” Ken, Littlecote House General Manager
Set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, Littlecote House is dreamily beautiful and one of England’s few remaining Tudor houses.
Steeped in history, Littlecote was graced by royalty such as Elizabeth I and Charles II. And it was in these walls and grounds that Henry VIII wooed the beautiful Jane Seymour, his future bride. Now it’s your turn to fall under its spell, as you explore its ancient rooms, including the Cromwellian chapel and the Dutch parlour.
Outside, stroll around the stunning gardens and discover the remains of the Roman Villa with its famous Orpheus Mosaic. Try your hand at the ancient arts of archery and fencing, then in the evening enjoy our fabulous live entertainment and medieval banquets. You can even sleep in Henry VIII’s bedroom...
“The house and grounds certainly worked their magic on us.” Joan Elliot
